Molly Simmons principal

Experience

Molly joined Tonka Bay in 2010, after spending nine years with private equity firm, Gemini Investors. At Gemini, she was involved in originating, closing, and managing buyout, recapitalization, and growth equity investments. Prior to Gemini, Molly was a strategic management consultant with Bain & Company in the Chicago office where she helped many companies develop growth strategies and improve profitability. Molly also worked in the Strategy and M&A group at British Petroleum where she worked on corporate strategy, M&A transactions, and the development of new businesses.

Molly serves on the board of the National Association for Small Business Investment Companies (NASBIC) and has served on the board of the Association for Corporate Growth (Minneapolis and Boston).

Education

Molly holds a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a masters of business administration degree from Harvard Business School.

Interests

While not at work, Molly enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons, usually biking near Lake Calhoun, at a park, or in a swimming pool.

Molly is active with her church and a volunteer with her son's school. Molly also enjoys hiking along the north shore of Lake Superior, travel, yoga, and feeding the cows at the family farm.
